Wayne Metro helped me to pay down my $3,000 water, and instead of my monthly bill being $140 and higher, it is now only $46 per month or lower, which is very affordable. It was a true blessing that I learned about the WRAP Program in 2015 when it first rolled-out. Wayne Metro is a lifesaver. WRAP Flyer

Understanding Your Hamtramck Water Bill
Have you ever stared at your water bill wondering what all those numbers mean? Let me break it down for you:
Your Hamtramck water bill typically includes charges for:
- Water consumption (measured in cubic feet or gallons)
- Sewage services
- Garbage collection fees
- Any applicable taxes or surcharges
The bill shows your previous meter reading, current meter reading, and the difference between the two (which is your actual water usage). If your bill seems unusually high, it might indicate a leak somewhere in your home.
Tips for Managing Your Water Bill
We all want to save money where we can, right? Here are some tips I’ve learned over the years:
- Fix leaky faucets and toilets ASAP – Even small leaks can waste gallons of water daily
- Install water-efficient fixtures – Low-flow showerheads and toilets can dramatically reduce water usage
- Run full loads – Only use your dishwasher and washing machine when they’re full
- Water your lawn strategically – Early morning or evening watering reduces evaporation
- Track your usage – Monitor your consumption to identify unusual patterns that might indicate problems
