Common Questions About Paying Your Questar/Enbridge Gas Bill
When did Questar become Enbridge?
Dominion Energy previously owned Questar Gas, but Enbridge Inc. acquired these assets. While the official company name is now Enbridge Gas, some systems and references may still show Questar during this transition.
Is there a fee for paying my bill online?
There’s no fee for making online payments directly from your bank account. However, credit card payments do incur a convenience fee.
What if I’m experiencing financial difficulties?
Enbridge Gas understands that sometimes customers need assistance. Under their “Billing options & assistance” section, they note: “You’re not alone. We’re here to help.” If you’re having trouble paying your bill, contact customer service at 1-800-323-5517 (Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. MT).

My Personal Experience With Questar/Enbridge Bill Payments
When I first moved to Utah, I was confused about the best way to pay my gas bill. I started with mailing checks, which was reliable but sometimes stressful when I wondered if they’d arrive on time. Eventually, I switched to Auto Pay, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer.
The peace of mind knowing my bill is paid automatically each month without any effort on my part is worth it! I still get email notifications about my bill amount, so there are no surprises, but I don’t have to remember yet another payment date or log in to make a payment.
Making Your Bill Payments Easier
Here are some tips I’ve found helpful for managing my Enbridge Gas payments:
- Set calendar reminders: If you’re not using Auto Pay, add due dates to your calendar
- Check for payment delays: Particularly important if you mail checks
- Keep account info accessible: Store your account number in a secure but accessible place
- Consider paperless billing: Reduces clutter and helps you access bills anywhere
- Check for assistance programs: If you’re struggling financially, ask about assistance options
