Post date |

Hey there! If you’re a Smithville customer like me, you know how essential reliable internet service is for our daily lives. What’s sometimes less convenient? Remembering to pay that bill on time! I’ve been using Smithville services for years now, and I’ve learned all the ins and outs of their payment system. Today, I wanna share everything I know about paying your Smithville internet bill so you can choose the method that works best for your lifestyle.

Whether you’re tech-savvy or prefer traditional payment methods, Smithville offers several convenient options to pay your internet bill. Let’s dive in and explore these payment methods together!

5 Ways to Pay Your Smithville Internet Bill

Smithville understands that customers have different preferences when it comes to paying bills That’s why they’ve created multiple payment options to accommodate everyone’s needs Here are the five main ways you can pay your Smithville internet bill

1. SmartHub Online Portal: The Most Convenient Option

The SmartHub online portal is probably the most convenient way to manage and pay your Smithville internet bill. I use this method myself, and it’s super straightforward!

To pay through SmartHub:

  • Visit smithville.smarthub.coop
  • Login with your account credentials
  • View your current bill and payment history
  • Make one-time payments or set up recurring payments

One of the things I really like about SmartHub is that you can access it 24/7. This means no more rushing to make payments before offices close! Plus, you can view your usage patterns and billing history all in one place.

If you haven’t registered for a SmartHub account yet, you’ll need your account number handy when setting up your profile. It only takes a few minutes, and then you’re all set for easy bill management.

2. Quick Pay Option: No Registration Required

Don’t want to create an account? No problem! Smithville offers a “Pay Now” option through SmartHub that doesn’t require registration. This is perfect for those one-off payments when you just need to get it done quickly.

For this method

  • Go to smithville.smarthub.coop
  • Click the “Pay Now” button
  • Enter your last name or business name
  • Provide your account number
  • Complete the payment process

The Pay Now option is super handy when you’re in a hurry or if you prefer not to create yet another online account. Just remember that without an account, you won’t have access to your payment history or the ability to set up recurring payments.

3. Pay By Phone: For Those On The Go

Sometimes I’m traveling or just away from my computer when I remember that bill is due. That’s when the Pay By Phone option comes in handy!

Smithville offers an automated phone payment system that’s available 24/7. Here’s what you need:

  • Call their dedicated payment line: (855) 938-3650
  • Have your account number ready
  • Know your Smithville Secure Pay PIN
  • Follow the automated prompts

This method is great when you’re away from home but still want the peace of mind knowing your bill is paid on time. The system is pretty user-friendly, and the whole process usually takes less than five minutes.

4. Mail-In Payments: Traditional But Reliable

If you’re old-school like some of my family members, you might prefer sending your payments through mail. Smithville still accepts this traditional payment method.

To pay by mail:

  • Write a check or get a money order for the amount due

  • Include your account number on the payment

  • Mail to:

    Smithville Communications, Inc.
    P.O. Box 6455
    Indianapolis, IN 46206-6455

Just remember to allow enough time for mail delivery! I always recommend sending your payment at least 5-7 business days before the due date to avoid any late fees.

5. In-Person Payments: Drop-Off Option

Living near Ellettsville? You might find it convenient to drop off your payment in person at the Smithville main office.

Important notes about in-person payments:

  • You can pay with a check or money order only
  • Cash is NOT accepted at the drop-off location
  • The main office is located in Ellettsville

I’ve used this method a few times when I was in the area, and it’s nice to have that option available. Just be sure to bring your bill or know your account number when dropping off your payment.

Setting Up Automatic Payments: Never Miss a Due Date Again

One of my favorite features of the SmartHub portal is the ability to set up automatic recurring payments. This has honestly been a lifesaver for me during busy months when I might otherwise forget to pay on time.

To set up autopay:

  1. Log in to your SmartHub account at smithville.smarthub.coop
  2. Navigate to the “Billing & Payments” section
  3. Select “Auto Pay Program” or “Recurring Payments”
  4. Choose your payment method (credit card, bank account, etc.)
  5. Select your preferred payment date
  6. Confirm your settings

With autopay, your bill amount is automatically deducted from your chosen payment method each month. You’ll still receive bill notifications, but you won’t have to worry about manually making the payment.

Sometimes just paying the bill isn’t enough—you want to understand what you’re paying for! When you log into the SmartHub portal, you can view a detailed breakdown of your charges.

Final Thoughts: Choosing the Right Payment Method for You

After years as a Smithville customer, I’ve tried most of these payment methods at one point or another. Here’s my personal take:

  • For convenience: SmartHub online portal with autopay is unbeatable
  • For occasional payers: The Pay Now option without registration works great
  • For those who avoid technology: Phone payments or mail-in options provide alternatives
  • For peace of mind: Automatic recurring payments ensure you never miss a due date
