Dear Montgomery Wards, your prices are outrageous. Unfortunately I made a purchase on my credit account I have with you and did not do any research before I made the purchase. Lesson learned, your prices are twice as much as other sites. Will not be using my credit account anymore. This isnt just on 1 or 2 items. I have decided to file both a Small Claims complaint and an FTC complaint because of the lousy and downright negligent business practices of this company. They received my past due payment of $49 less than 10 days ago; today I received a letter in the mail saying that I was, basically, a credit deadbeat who was not concerned with my reputation — and that my reputation was in trouble.” My theory is: if you cant get your facts straight in a matter, you have no right to accuse anyone! Obviously, this company is indifferent and insensitive to the needs of their customers (in my case, former customer!). Since they gave me 10 days to pay a bill I do not owe — and, indeed, have verification of payment — I told them that I will GIVE THEM 10 DAYS TO WRITE A LETTER OF APOLOGY TO ME — or I will see you in Court! This company has the poorest customer service. The representatives are clueless about resolving issues. Fraudulent activity occurred on my account in May 2025. On their statement, instead of providing a number to make a payment, they provide a number for a different company who is fraudulently using your information to gain access for some credit monitoring at a cost of $97.37 which is then automatically taken from your account. When you call Ward, they take no responsibility for this company. After I said didnt want credit monitoring they were still requesting my personal information for ill gains. When I actually got someone at Ward = they were dismissive and told me I should not have provided my information. I explained that I thought I was dealing with them from the beginning and they were only verifying. I had to close my checking account and put an alert on my credit report. Ward took no responsibility for putting another companys number on their payment statement. Once I pay off my account I am closing it. I will NEVER order with them again. I dont owe them much so I am going to pay it off and close the account. HORRIBLE EXPERINCE buyer beware.

Ive had Montgomery Ward card back in the 80s when they had an Actual store. What I find disturbing, is the Shipping Cost. I wanted to purchase a comforter set and the shipping was 31.99? Then I Xd that and needed a 5000 BTU air conditioner for 299.00 + 55.00 S/H plus added taxes? Almost 400.00. So I ordered one on Amazon for 159.00 FREE S/H 11.40 tax… total cost 170.00. Put it on Afterpay 60.02 for 3 months. I would like to patronize this store again, but the shipping is Ridiculous.

This company has the poorest customer service. The representatives are clueless about resolving issues. But when I placed and order I am told after the fact that I must pay a down payment! The excuse? We are trying to protect you and the company. How is that? Ive been a wards customer for 20 yrs, also ginnys the sister company, Today I received my order whiich was supposed to be 3 sets of PJs and normally they come in separate mailers, whenI opened the mailer I found screen repair kitsx5 the mailer saays montgomerywards, the itemized list with price and order number is from a company called Harriet Carter, its another sister company,,BTW I had a Ginnys account and its paid in full but never this Carter company. I called the carter number spoke with agent and she saw the warehouse put someone elses order into my mailer, she was able to see what my order was and says it will be mailed and also a return label for the wrong item, BTW this order belongs to someone from another state, So far I have not seen any update in my montgomery ward account for the reshipment of 61.00 worth of products, the order i received was around 19 bucks,, So I have to do a return, and hope I received what I paid for.. Ive also notice the crter order was made a full month ago!!! Wonder who got my PJS I really hope I get what I paid for since I was doing a favor for a neighbor and she paid me for these PJS!!!

They will reopen orders that didn’t complete because they were sold out & then when the product becomes available, Wards will charge you and ships em w/o permission. I expected more from an overpriced product selling organization.

My first time as a customer received a credit for $400 found a item for $299 and with shipping total $387 called on status and was told I need to make a down payment of $432 before they can ship item. They are stealing and making identity fraud everyone that works there that knows about this should be in jail I received a package at my address from Montgomery ward with my moms first name and my last name so I sent them an email asking them how was the package purchased they said credit a store card so I quickly called my bank because I didnt order anything but at the bank everything was good so I sent them back and email saying that I didnt order anything so the sells rep send me an email back saying that okay they going to send a return label and I emailed them back saying that Im not going to send anything back until I speak with my lawyer because theres identity fraud being committed and I asked her for a name and number of the person thats in charge of doing the application for a store credit card so my lawyer can get in contact with the person and the emails stopped there. I have been with m.w.for years.i feel dissatisfied withe service lately.i ordered 3 sweat suits 59.00 a piece .only one came.
