Are you tired of scrambling to pay your sewer bill at the last minute? Maybe you’ve been meaning to set up those automatic payments but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Well, I’ve been there too! After forgetting my Clark Regional Wastewater District payment one too many times, I decided to figure out the easiest ways to stay on top of these bills. Here’s everything you need to know about paying your CRWWD bill without the hassle.
Understanding Your Clark Regional Wastewater District Payment Options
Clark Regional Wastewater District (CRWWD) offers several convenient ways to pay your monthly sewer service bill As someone who’s tried pretty much all of them, I can tell you there’s definitely an option that will fit your preferences
Online Payment Portal – The Most Convenient Option
The District strongly encourages customers to use their official payment processing system at https://crwwd.merchanttransact.com. I’ve found this to be the most convenient method by far.
When using this portal, you have two main options:
- Register for an account – This gives you full access to manage your bill payments
- One-Time Payment – Quick payment without registration
The registration process is pretty straightforward. You’ll need:
- Your 9-digit account number (format: 000000-000)
- Your house/building number for your service address
- A valid email address
Important reminder If you’re logging in for the first time you’ll need to verify your email address when prompted. Just check your inbox for a NOREPLY@MERCHANTTRANSACT notification and click the verification link to fully activate your account.
Auto-Pay Options That Save Time
If you’re like me and sometimes forget due dates, setting up recurring payments is a game-changer. CRWWD offers:
WebPay Recurring Payments
This is what I use, and it’s super convenient. Here’s how to set it up:
- Log in to your account at https://crwwd.merchanttransact.com
- Select the ‘My Profile’ tab
- Scroll to ‘Your Accounts’ and click your account number
- Under ‘Auto Payment of Bill’, check ‘Yes, I would like to activate auto payment’
- Choose Electronic Check or Credit Card payment method
- Enter your payment information and click ‘Add payment method’
- Click ‘Submit’
When it’s set up correctly you’ll see a green check mark and your selected payment method under ‘Your Accounts’ section.
Direct Debit for Commercial and Residential Accounts
This is another option for recurring payments via checking account. You’ll need to:
- Contact Customer Service at 360-993-4001, or
- Download the Direct Payment Authorization form from https://www.crwwd.com/forms/
Go Paperless with E-Billing
I switched to e-billing last year, and it’s been great for keeping my paperwork organized. Plus, it’s better for the environment!
To enable e-billing:
- Log in to your account at https://crwwd.merchanttransact.com
- Select ‘My Profile’ tab
- Click on your account number in the ‘Your Accounts’ section
- Select ‘YES’ under “Electronic Bill via Email”
- If you don’t want paper bills anymore, select ‘NO’ under “Paper Bill via Post Office”
- Click ‘Submit’
When it’s set up correctly, you’ll see a green check mark under Electronic Bills in the ‘Your Accounts’ section.
Keeping Your Payment Information Updated
Life happens, and sometimes you need to update your payment methods. Whether your credit card expired or you switched banks, here’s how to update your info:
- Log in to your account
- Select ‘My Profile’ tab
- Scroll to ‘Your Saved Payment Methods’ section
To remove old methods:
- Click ‘Remove’ under ‘Actions’ next to any payment method you want to delete
To add new methods:
- Click ‘Add a new payment method’
- Enter new payment details
- If you want to use this for AutoPay, select “Use this payment method to enroll in Auto Pay”
Important Rate Information for 2025
Heads up! Starting January 1, 2025, the base monthly rates are changing:
- Central Service Area, Vancouver & Battle Ground customers: from $45.00 to $46.50 per ERU
- Ridgefield customers: from $54.40 to $55.10 per ERU
Don’t worry though, Low-Income Senior Discounts will still apply.
Avoiding Third-Party Payment Processors
I made this mistake once and learned my lesson! CRWWD specifically warns against using Doxo or other unaffiliated payment processors. Here’s why:
- They charge additional processing fees
- Payments might be delayed, which could result in late charges
- They’re not officially associated with CRWWD
Always use the official payment portal at https://crwwd.merchanttransact.com for the most secure and efficient payment experience.
Customer Support When You Need Help
We all hit technical difficulties sometimes. If you’re struggling with the online payment system, CRWWD offers excellent customer support:
- Phone: 360-750-5876
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
For after-hours emergencies, you can call their 24-hour emergency line at 360-993-8800.

Planning to be away from home for an extended period? You might qualify for credits during your absence. Look into the “Extended Vacancy Credit Program” for details.

Consider annual payments – If you’re able, paying several months at once can reduce the hassle
