After what company leaders said was likely the worst blizzard to hit the areas power infrastructure in nearly 50 years last week, Norris Public Power District says it has restored power to all customers who were still experiencing outages.
The March 19 snowstorm, which brought high winds and snow to Southeast Nebraska, caused “significant destruction” to the utilitys electric system, leading to more than 17,000 Norris Public Power customers — about 60% of its entire customer base — losing power.
