Are you tired of dealing with complicated medical billing processes? Do you find yourself frustrated when trying to pay your Hendricks health bills? Well, you’re not alone! I’ve been there too, and today I’m gonna share everything you need to know about Hendricks bill pay options to make your life easier.
Medical bills can be stressful, but paying them doesn’t have to be. Hendrick Health offers several convenient ways to handle your payments, whether you prefer doing things online or the traditional way. Let’s dive into all the details so you can choose what works best for you!
What is Hendrick Health?
Before we jump into payment options let me quickly explain that Hendrick Health is a healthcare system with multiple facilities including
- Hendrick Medical Center
- Hendrick Medical Center South
- Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood
- Hendrick Clinic
- Hendrick Medical Supply
- Hendrick Surgery Center
Each of these facilities might bill you separately depending on the services you received so it’s important to know which bill you’re paying and where to send your payment.
Online Bill Pay Options
Pay as Guest Through MyChart
One of the easiest ways to pay your Hendricks bill is through their online “Pay as Guest” option. You don’t even need to create an account! Here’s how to do it:
- Visit the MyChart Pay as Guest page (https://mychart.hendricks.org/mychart/Billing/GuestPay/PayAsGuest)
- Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser (the site requires this)
- Enter your guarantor information (we’ll explain what that means below)
- Follow the prompts to complete your payment
What is a guarantor? The guarantor is the person responsible for paying the bill. You can find the guarantor name and account number right on your statement. This might be you or it could be another family member or responsible party.
What is a visit account? According to the Hendricks website, a visit account is how your charges are grouped together to bill insurance, and usually represents your billing activity for a single visit. You may have multiple visit accounts, each with their own balance
Benefits of Creating a MyChart Account
While paying as a guest is convenient, there are some real perks to signing up for a MyChart account:
- Save your credit card or bank account for future payments
- Learn more about your bill details
- Sign up for a payment plan if needed
- Review your payment history
- Access other health information beyond just billing
If this sounds useful to you, just click “Sign up now” when you visit the payment page.

Questions to Ask Your Insurance Carrier:
Does my plan limit the number of Mental health visits for therapy or medication management?
(A limit on the number of visits is very rare, but worth asking.)
Have I met my deductible for the year? If not, how much is remaining?
(This will be what you are required to pay before your insurance starts to pay.)
What if any Co-Pay ($$) or Co-Insurance (%) is due at each visit?
(This amount or percentage of the service cost will be due at each appointment. A common amount is $25 per visit or 20% of the service cost.)
Telehealth visits are usually covered by your insurance, similar to an in-person visit. For Telehealth visits, we require that a Credit Card be placed on file before your appointment. This makes the checkout process easier, faster, and more efficient. You will receive a Consent Form to complete during the Registration process. We will charge the card on file within two business days following your Telehealth visit. When your portion of the bill is determined (following a review of your copay, co-insurance, and deductible), we will only charge your card for the most recent visit minus the expected reimbursement agreed upon by your insurance carrier. This will not compromise your ability to dispute a charge or question your insurance company’s payment determination. We will also contact you for permission for any charges over $200. Please let us know if you would like a statement or receipt emailed to you.
Mental Health benefits in the majority of insurance plans are separate and different than traditional medical coverage. In addition, it is not uncommon for another company to serve as a contractor for your mental health benefits. THIS INFORMATION MAY NOT BE PROVIDED ON YOUR INSURANCE CARD. Please contact your insurance company to ensure your intended provider is indeed in your network.

There will be a fee for completing paperwork for such items as FMLA, disability, accommodations, and emotional support animals.
Depending on your insurance benefit plan, specific testing and treatments such as Ketamine and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) services may or may not be covered. Please check with your insurance carrier if you have any questions.
Please refer to our Patient Handbook for general information and details regarding appointment cancellation fees.
We understand that seeking treatment for your mental health can be challenging and that the cost of treatment is a determining factor for many patients. We want you to have the information necessary to make the best decision for your treatment. We have created a list of charges for uninsured or self-pay patients who prefer to pay out-of-pocket.
*Please note that the rates listed below are for self-pay only, and amounts may differ for patients filing insurance claims.
Psychotherapy “Talk Therapy” Session
Our talk therapy session is a flexible platform for individuals to process and explore their thoughts in person or through Telehealth. Everyones journey is unique, so the frequency of these sessions can be tailored to your needs, typically ranging from weekly to bi-weekly. Please see the rates below for new and existing patients. The cost for follow-up appointments differs depending on the type of clinician you are seeing. Please note the different rates below:

An important benefit of group counseling is that participants often share similar experiences and challenges. Receiving feedback from others in a supportive environment helps patients feel that they are not alone.
