Sometimes I prefer to just pick up the phone and get things done REMC has implemented an automated telephone system available 24/7 that lets you

3. Pay By Mail
Some of us still like the traditional way of paying bills. If that’s you, simply return the bottom portion of your bill with your payment. Remember to allow enough mailing time for your payment to reach REMC before the due date.
Mail your payment to:
Rutherford Electric Membership Corporation
P.O. Box 1569
Forest City, North Carolina 28043
4. Pay at an Office
If you’re more of a face-to-face person, you can visit one of REMC’s offices to pay your bill in person. Check their Locations page on the website to find the office nearest you.
5. AutoPay
Now this is where we get into the real convenience! With AutoPay, your bill gets paid automatically each month without you having to do anything. You can set this up through the Member Services Portal.
Important note: Any changes to your AutoPay must be made online by you – REMC employees can’t make changes to your AutoPay account.
6. Draft Payments
Similar to AutoPay, Draft Payments let you authorize REMC to withdraw funds directly from your checking account or charge your credit/debit card to pay your monthly bill. The amount due will be drafted on or after your due date.
You’ll still receive your bill each month, but it will indicate that the payment will be drafted automatically.
To sign up for Draft Payments, call 828-245-1621 or toll-free at 1-800-521-0920 to have an authorization form sent to you.
Unlike AutoPay, changes to Draft Payments must be made by calling one of REMC’s offices – you can’t make these changes online.
7. Electronic Billing (E-Bill)
If you’re trying to reduce paper waste (or just hate dealing with paper bills), E-Bill is a great option. Instead of receiving a paper bill in the mail, you’ll get your bill electronically.
You can learn more about E-Bill on REMC’s website and sign up through the Member Services Portal.
