Since 1898, our members have lived by the timeless and cherished values found in The Creed of Zeta Tau Alpha:
Students attend college to learn, and many of the lessons learned in four years take place outside the classroom. Membership in ZTA offers your student the opportunity to lead; take on responsibility; serve others in the community; understand and appreciate the uniqueness of each student in the chapter; and be authentic, humble and loyal. Through it all, our members show each other love, the foundation precept of our Fraternity.
As a new member, your student will begin to see ZTA’s lifelong commitment to friendship. The Zeta Is Forever New Member Experience connects new members to each other and to initiated members. New members are paired with Big Sisters to guide and mentor them. ZTA alumnae advisors and National Officers also provide support to our college chapters and members. These women demonstrate the commitment to sisterhood that continues long after graduation.
It is a joy to work with our collegiate and alumnae members as they build supportive networks, strengthen their skills, pursue their purpose and discover their potential. Thank you for trusting us to provide those experiences for someone so important to you, not just for four years, but for life. Dinah Jackson Laughery Zeta Tau Alpha National President
Our Creed says, “…in Zeta Tau Alpha, lies the opportunity to learn those things which will ever enrich and ennoble our lives.” The partnership between the Fraternity, the ZTA Foundation and the ZTA Fraternity Housing Corporation helps us live up to that promise.
ZTA National Council: This nine-member board of alumnae volunteers is elected every two years to oversee the operations of the Fraternity and collegiate and alumnae chapters.
ZTA Foundation: This 501(c)3 non-profit organization, led by a board of alumnae volunteers, funds scholarships, educational programming and our breast cancer education and awareness efforts. Your donations help us continue to provide these important programs.
ZTA Fraternity Housing Corporation: With an eight-member board and a national network of volunteers, the FHC ensures safe, competitive and attractive housing and meeting facilities for our collegians.
Following ZTA policies and making safety a priority is every Zeta’s personal responsibility. Find ZTA’s policies here.
ZTA cares about the health and safety of our members. We know this can be at the forefront of your mind while your student is on campus. ZTA has many resources and programs for collegians and for you as parents to support health and safety.
Hazing has no place in either the ZTA experience or any other club, team or organization. ZTA designed this short, online course for parents and guardians who have students of any age from grade school through college. It includes a video with perspectives of parents who lost their sons to hazing, discusses what hazing is, the warning signs of hazing and how to talk to your child as well as resources on hazing prevention. You can find this interactive course here.
ZTA designed the My Sister, My Responsibility® program to create conversation around risk, educate members about the duty of care for themselves and others, and emphasize the mission and purpose of Zeta Tau Alpha. This program has six components:·
Billhighway is a cloud-based platform that helps nonprofits and associations automate all areas of their financial life cycles. Zeta Tau Alpha partners with Billhighway to help our chapters manage their finances effectively.
Each ZTA collegiate chapter creates monthly statements for members’ dues and fees through Billhighway. Members receive their statements by email and are responsible for making payments directly to Billhighway online, by phone or by mail.
If you would like to receive a copy of your daughters monthly statement, she must add your email as a secondary email address to her Billhighway account. She does this by updating her membership information in the Sisters Only portion of the ZTA website. This will allow you to receive a copy of your daughter’s monthly statement.
Monthly statements are sent by email to the member (and to her parent if she has added a secondary email address), on either:
Billhighway will assess a 4% late fee per invoice, with a minimum amount of $1, on all invoices over five days past due.
To ensure a payment is allocated to the right account, a member or her parents must pay her dues directly to the Billhighway processing center online, by phone or by mail.
By electronic check, debit or credit card, or automatic payment draft. For quick and easy payment access, a member or parents should click on “Pay Now” in the email they receive. Note: A 3.5 percent fee will be deducted from all member payments made via credit or debit card for merchant fees. Online electronic check payments are recommended for faster processing.
Call (877) 333–6007 to make payments. You will need your daughter’s Billhighway account number and permanent address zip code. Note: A 3.5 percent fee will be deducted from all member payments made via credit or debit card for merchant fees.
When paying by mail, you must attach a remittance slip and write the Billhighway account number on your check. The remittance slip is the bottom portion of the invoice you will receive by email. Without a remittance slip, payment could be delayed. Payments by mail typically take five business days to be processed. Online electronic check payments are recommended for faster processing.

Other Payment Information for Parents
If you have more than one ZTA daughter, you must pay each account separately. Billhighway will not combine the accounts. Please submit individual payments for each member.
Payments will automatically apply to the oldest invoice on the account.
Billhighway provides chapters with the software to bill and collect fees from Zeta Tau Alpha members, but the chapter itself determines fee amounts, with assistance from advisors and International Office. For questions regarding how much your daughter owes or fees that were assessed to her account, you or she should contact her chapter Treasurer.
Does the sorority experience include adult supervision?
Yes! ZTA’s collegiate chapters have local advisors who are alumnae of the organization trained to guide and support the collegiate experience. Local advisors report to a Collegiate National Officer who oversees an area of chapters and provides an additional layer of support.
