Bountiful Utilities Payment Methods – More Options Than Ever!
Bountiful City has significantly improved its payment systems in recent years. Here are all the ways you can pay your utility bill in 2025:
Online Payments
The most convenient option for most residents is paying online through the Citizen Self Service portal. In August 2023, Bountiful launched a new and improved website to make managing utility services easier.
Important note: Even if you had an online account before August 2023, you need to reestablish your account due to the system upgrade. I learned this the hard way when I tried to log in using my old credentials!
To set up your account
- Visit the Bountiful Utilities website
- Click on “Pay My Bill / Access My Account”
- When directed to “MUNIS Self Services” page, click “log in”
- Click on “sign up” in the bottom right corner
- Follow prompts to establish your new account
Phone Payments
Bountiful recently introduced a new dedicated number for phone payments 877-819-7081
I’ve used this service a couple times when my internet was down, and it’s pretty straightforward
Auto Pay / Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
This is my personal favorite method! Setting up automatic payments means I never worry about late fees or forgetting to pay.
To sign up for Auto Pay:
- Fill out the “Signup for Auto Pay/EFT” form online
- Or call 801-298-6100
- Or visit City Hall in person
Drop Box Payments
For those who prefer traditional methods, Bountiful provides a drop box for utility payments at:
Location: City Hall, 795 South Main Street
Specific spot: Near the southeast parking lot entrance
Collection: Daily
⚠️ Warning: Don’t put cash payments or delinquent payments in the drop box! I made this mistake once, and it caused a major headache tracking down my payment.
In-Person Payments
You can also pay in person at Bountiful City Hall:

- Closed: Fridays, Weekends and Holidays
The extended hours (7am-6pm) are super helpful for working folks like me who can’t make it during typical 9-5 hours.

One thing that’s important to understand are the additional fees associated with different payment methods:
