Flexible Billing Options
Coast Electric goes beyond just offering multiple payment methods – they also provide flexible billing plans to help manage your budget.
Levelized Billing
This plan allows you to pay approximately the same amount each month based on your average usage over a 12-month period. To qualify, you need to have had power at your current address for at least 12 months.
Here’s how it works: The system takes your current month’s usage plus the last 11 months, then divides by 12 to calculate your average monthly payment amount.
Budget Billing
With budget billing, your energy costs stay consistent month-to-month. Coast Electric:
- Reviews your previous year’s energy use
- Averages those costs to determine your monthly payment
- Recalculates annually each February
- Adjusts your bill up or down based on actual usage
Like levelized billing, you need at least 12 months of service history at your current address to qualify.
Prepay Metering
This option gives you total control over your electricity purchases:
- Pay for energy as you go
- No deposits
- No monthly bills
- Monitor your usage in real-time
- Add funds when needed
Think of it like filling your car with gas – you purchase power when you need it!
Assistance Programs for Those in Need
We all face financial challenges from time to time. That’s why Coast Electric offers the Share Your Blessings program – an energy assistance initiative that allows members to help fellow members who need assistance paying their power bills.
If you’re struggling to pay your bill, I’d encourage you to learn more about this program by visiting Coast Electric’s website or contacting their customer service.
