Living in our charming little Town of Narrows means enjoying beautiful mountain views and a tight-knit community. But let’s be honest – nobody enjoys standing in line at the town office to pay bills! I’ve been there myself, trying to squeeze in a water bill payment during lunch break. Thankfully Narrows offers several convenient online payment options that have saved me (and can save you) tons of time.

In this guide, I’ll walk you through everything you need to know about paying your Town of Narrows bills online – from utility payments to local taxes. Let’s make bill-paying as enjoyable as an afternoon at Mill Creek!

Before diving into the “how.” let’s clarify exactly what town bills you can pay through the online systems

  • Water and sewer utility bills
  • Local property taxes

Benefits of Using Auto Pay

One feature I absolutely love is the auto pay option. If you’re forgetful like me, this is a lifesaver!

With auto pay, you can:

  • Set up recurring payments for utility and tax accounts
  • Have payments automatically deducted from your bank account or credit card
  • Receive email reminders before automated payment dates
  • Never worry about late fees again!

To set up auto pay:

  1. Select the auto pay option when making a one-time payment
  2. Agree to the terms and conditions
  3. Choose your payment method
  4. Specify which accounts to enroll

You can opt out anytime if you change your mind.

Viewing Payment History

Need to check if you already paid that water bill? The online portal keeps track of your payment history:

  • View transactions by date range or account
  • See payment dates and amounts
  • Check status of pending payments
  • Download receipts for tax purposes
  • Track payment activity over time

This feature has been super helpful during tax season when I need to find all my property tax payments!

Mobile Payments on the Go

Both payment systems are mobile-optimized, so you can pay bills from your smartphone or tablet. This means you can take care of your town obligations:

  • While waiting at the doctor’s office
  • During your lunch break
  • From your couch watching TV
  • Literally anywhere with internet access!

The mobile experience uses the same secure process as the desktop version.

Avoiding Late Fees and Penalties

The Town of Narrows adds a 10% late charge if balances aren’t paid by the due date. Ouch! With online bill pay, you can avoid these fees by:

  • Setting calendar reminders for due dates
  • Using auto pay for recurring bills
  • Setting up email alerts for due dates
  • Paying immediately when you receive your bill notice

Account Management Features

Beyond just paying bills, the online portal lets you manage all aspects of your town accounts:

  • Update contact information
  • Change email address for notices
  • Manage stored payment methods
  • Set up alerts and notifications
  • Monitor usage and balances in real time
