The Ultimate Guide to Adams Electric Bill Pay: Making Your Payments Simple

Post date |

Ever feel like paying your electricity bill is more complicated than it needs to be? You’re not alone! As an Adams Electric customer, I’ve explored all the different ways to pay my monthly bill, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned to make your life easier.

Quick Payment Options at a Glance

Adams Electric Cooperative offers several convenient methods to pay your electric bill:

  • SmartHub online portal – view bills and pay electronically
  • Quick Pay – pay without logging into an account
  • Automatic bank draft – never miss a payment
  • Pay-by-phone – call their toll-free number
  • Mail-in payments – send checks to their office
  • In-person payments – visit district offices
  • Payment kiosks – available at district locations

SmartHub: Your Digital Payment Headquarters

SmartHub is Adams Electric’s primary online platform for managing your account. Through SmartHub, you can

  • View your bill electronically
  • Authorize payments from checking accounts or credit/debit cards
  • Check your billing history
  • Review payment records
  • Access patronage capital history
  • Turn off paper bills (go green!)
  • Schedule advanced payments
  • Set up payment extensions (if qualified)

To access SmartHub, visit https //adamsecsmarthubcoop and create an account. Once set up, you’ll have complete control over your billing experience.

I personally love using SmartHub because it shows me my usage patterns. This helped me realize I was running my dishwasher during peak hours and wasting money!

Quick Pay – For When You’re in a Hurry

Don’t want to create a full account? No problem! Adams Electric offers a Quick Pay option that lets you make fast payments without the hassle of setting up a complete SmartHub account.

To use Quick Pay:

  1. Visit the customer portal at https://myaccount.adamselectric.coop/onlineportal/
  2. Click on “Quick Pay”
  3. Enter your billing account number
  4. Enter the first five letters of your primary last name
  5. Follow the prompts to complete your payment

Quick Pay only shows your current amount due and allows you to make a payment. If you want more detailed information about your account, you’ll need a complete SmartHub account.

Automatic Payments – Set It and Forget It

Tired of remembering due dates? Set up recurring payments through SmartHub!

After adding your banking information, the total bill amount will be automatically withdrawn from your account on the due date each month. You can also use a credit card for recurring payments if that’s more convenient.

Important tip: Make sure to enter your banking information at least 24 hours before the next billing generation date. If you add your information after receiving the current bill, your automatic payment won’t process until the following month.

Mobile Payment Options

Adams Electric understands we’re all on the go, so they’ve made it easy to pay from your mobile devices:

  1. Download the SmartHub app from your phone’s app store
  2. Log in with your SmartHub credentials
  3. View and pay your bill from anywhere!

The mobile app has basically the same features as the website version. I use it all the time when I’m traveling and forgot to pay before leaving home!

Traditional Payment Methods

If you prefer more traditional methods, Adams Electric still offers several options:

Pay-by-Phone

Due to increased security requirements, individual Adams Electric employees can no longer accept payments over the phone. Instead, call their dedicated payment processing line: 1-855-939-3695. Have your account number ready when you call.

Pay-by-Mail

Send your bill along with a check for the amount shown to:

Visit any of the cooperative’s three district offices to pay with cash, check, credit card* or money order:

  • Gettysburg District: 1338 Biglerville Road
  • Shippensburg District: 10 Duncan Road
  • York District: 200 Trinity Road

*Only Visa and Mastercard accepted at these locations.

Onsite Payment Kiosks

All district locations have payment kiosks that accept:

  • Cash (no change given – excess applied as credit)
  • Check (physical check not required, just enter account/routing numbers)
  • Visa or Mastercard

Note: Coins, money orders, American Express, and Discover are not accepted at kiosks. You must have your Adams Electric account number to process payment.
