Let’s face it – nobody enjoys paying bills. But if you’re an Arrow Sanitary Service customer in the Portland area I’ve got good news! Paying your garbage and recycling bill doesn’t have to be a headache anymore. As someone who’s used their services for years I wanted to share everything you need to know about Arrow Sanitary bill pay options to make your life easier.
The Easiest Ways to Pay Your Arrow Sanitary Bill
Arrow Sanitary Service, operating in Portland since 1956, offers several convenient methods to pay your bill. Whether you’re tech-savvy or prefer traditional payment methods, they’ve got you covered.
Online Bill Pay Options
Arrow Sanitary makes online payments super simple. You actually have two different ways to pay online:
- Make a One-Time Payment – No registration required! This is perfect when you just need to make a quick payment without any commitment.
- Create an Account and Login – This gives you more control over your account. You can save your payment info, manage account details, and even set up automatic payments.
I personally use the login option because I’m forgetful and love having my payments handled automatically. No more late fees for me!
Pay by Phone
Not comfortable paying online? No problem! You can call 1-800-457-1379 to make a payment over the phone. This is perfect for those times when you’re on the go or just prefer speaking to a real person.
Pay by Mail
If you’re old-school (like my dad), you can still mail your payment to:
Arrow Sanitary Service
A Waste Connections Company
PO Box 7428
Pasadena, CA 91109-7428
Important Note: Arrow changed their mailing address in October 2019. If you’re set up through your bank’s bill pay, make sure your payment is going to this updated address!
Why You Should Consider Online Bill Pay
Online bill pay isn’t just convenient—it comes with tons of benefits:
- Accessible anytime, anywhere – Pay at 3 AM in your pajamas if you want!
- Complete control – Choose exactly when and how much to pay
- Eco-friendly – Less paper waste means you’re helping the environment
- Desk decluttering – No more stacks of bills piling up
- Credit score protection – Set up reminders or automatic payments so you never miss a due date
- Enhanced security – Reduce risk of mail theft (which happens more than you’d think in Portland!)

My Personal Experience with Arrow Sanitary Bill Pay
When I first moved to Portland, I was still writing checks for everything (I know, I’m dating myself). After forgetting to pay my Arrow Sanitary bill a couple times and getting reminder notices, I finally decided to try their online bill pay system.
The enrollment process was actually really easy – took me maybe 5 minutes. Now I have automatic payments set up, and I never think about my garbage bill anymore. It just gets handled!
One time I did have a question about a charge on my bill. I called their customer service, and they explained everything clearly and even helped me adjust my service to better fit my needs. I’ve found their team to be really helpful whenever I’ve needed to reach out.

Solid Waste and Recycling Program
The City of Estacada regulates garbage and recycling collection within the city limits. Waste haulers are licensed to provide collection services and may collect from all areas of the City.
All haulers must provide each residential solid waste collection customer with weekly curbside collection of recyclable materials on the same day that solid waste is collected. Residential recyclable materials include cardboard, newspapers, magazines, scrap paper, glass, tin and aluminum, plastic tubs, bottles and jars, and motor oil. Materials for recycling at the curb should be prepared and separated according to your hauler’s specifications. Contact your hauler for recycling preparation instructions.
Arrow Sanitary(American Sanitary) Service Inc. provides garbage and recycling services for the City of Estacada. Please see the document attached below for detailed pricing and recycling information for the City of Estacada. Due to increasing operational and disposal costs, the Estacada City Council approved a small increase to your monthly collection service.
Please contact your garbage and recycling provider for answers to your residential questions.

People have called the city and the garbage haulers for years to ask for this service. The City of Estacada started a pilot project in 2021 with seasonal yard debris boxes at Portal Park. These dumpsters filled up quickly and were heavily used. This was difficult for many people to access.
In 2023 we surveyed the community regarding having curbside yard debris. The response was overwhelmingly positive for this service. We received 294 responses and 88% said “Yes” they wanted yard debris, another 7% said “Maybe” to yard debris. Only 4% of respondents said “No” to yard debris.
This has been discussed at multiple city council meetings for over two years now with support from the community for this additional service.
Residential customers inside Estacada city limits who have signed up for regular weekly service will get yard debris.
The City of Estacada negotiated a new agreement with Estacada’s Garbage and Recycle service providers that will take effect September 1, 2024. Yard debris carts will be delivered to residential households between August 26th and September 6th. Your first yard debris collection will occur the week of September 9th on your regularly scheduled collection day.
