Have you ever found yourself struggling to remember how to pay your Cherokee County Electric bill? Or maybe you’re new to the area and trying to figure out the best payment options? We’ve all been there, and today I’m gonna share everything you need to know about CCECA bill payment options!
As a long-time customer of Cherokee County Electric Cooperative Association (CCECA), I’ve tried pretty much all the different ways to pay my electric bill. Some methods are definitely easier than others, and I wanna make sure you know all your options.
Who is Cherokee County Electric Cooperative Association?
Before diving into payment methods, let’s quickly talk about who CCECA actually is. Cherokee County Electric Cooperative Association was started back in 1938 to bring electricity to rural areas in East Texas. What began as a small initiative by local leaders like Mr. R.R. Banks and Mr. C.E. Smith from Rusk has grown into a cooperative that now serves over 16,000 members with more than 21,000 active meters across four counties:
- Cherokee County
- Smith County
- Rusk County
- Nacogdoches County
They maintain over 3,400 miles of power lines (that’s about 6.1 meters per mile of line!). As a cooperative, CCECA isn’t focused on making profits – they’re focused on serving their members, which means you and me!
