Online Payment Options
Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) provides multiple ways to pay your bill online. The most direct way is through their My Account portal which allows you to manage payments view usage, and more.
My Account Features
When you log into My Account on CSU.org, you can:
- View and pay your current bill
- Check account balance
- Track utility usage
- Manage payment preferences
- Sign up for autopay
- Enroll in eBilling
I personally love using the My Account feature because it shows me my water and energy usage patterns which helps me find ways to save money!
Autopay Enrollment
One of the best features that CSU.org offers is AutoPay, which automatically pays your bills on the due date each month from your bank account. It’s completely free and ensures you never miss a payment.
How to Enroll in AutoPay
- Register or log in to My Account on CSU.org
- Click “enroll” beneath the AutoPay icon
- Provide your bank information and click continue
- Review your information
- Click continue to complete submission
If you prefer not to enroll online, you can also fill out the AutoPay enrollment form and include a voided check or voided deposit slip with your application
Pro Tip: Wait until your bill shows “Automatic Bank Transfer is scheduled to occur on the due date” before stopping manual payments. That confirmation means your AutoPay enrollment is complete.
Pay with Credit or Debit Card
If you prefer using credit or debit cards, CSU partners with KUBRA EZ-PAY for electronic payment processing. They accept various payment methods:
- Visa
- MasterCard
- Discover
- American Express
- Diners Club
- Debit cards
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
Transaction Fees
It’s important to note that there are transaction fees when paying with cards:
- Residential customers: $1.85 per transaction
- Commercial customers: $5.85 per transaction
- $5,000 limit per rolling 26-day period
Online Card Payment Steps
- Log in to KUBRA EZ-PAY (https://v51.ez-pay.io/validate.aspx?BillerID=FBIuTTYzzz)
- Provide your account number and ZIP code
- Input your payment amount
- Sign in or continue as guest

Phone Payment Option
You can also pay by phone using a credit/debit card by calling (719) 448-4800 or (800) 238-5434.
I’ve found the Fast Track feature really useful for frequent phone payments – it saves your account info so you don’t need to enter it every time!

Budget Billing
Budget Billing keeps your payments the same amount each month, which is super helpful for budgeting! Here’s how it works for residential customers:
- CSU calculates your average bill over the past 12 months
- That becomes your monthly Budget Billing amount
- Every 90 days, your usage is reviewed and adjusted if needed
- You’ll get a letter one month prior to any changes
I signed up for Budget Billing last year, and it’s been a game-changer for managing my household expenses. No more surprisingly high bills in summer or winter!
Pick My Payment Date
This awesome option lets you choose a payment due date that works best for you. Perfect for folks on a fixed income or anyone who wants to better manage their budget.
You can select any date between the 1st and 28th of the month. To sign up, just call (719) 448-4800 and speak with a customer service rep.

My Personal Experience with CSU Bill Pay
I’ve been a Colorado Springs resident for over 8 years, and I’ve tried practically every payment method CSU offers! Initially, I mailed checks (which was inconvenient and sometimes late). Then I tried the drop boxes, which were better but still required me to remember to drop off the payment.
The real convenience began when I discovered their online payment options. Setting up AutoPay was a bit intimidating at first (I’m always nervous about automatic withdrawals), but it’s been absolutely hassle-free. I appreciate getting the bill notification email so I can check the amount before it’s withdrawn.
For my rental property, I use the KUBRA EZ-PAY system to pay with a dedicated credit card. Yes, there’s a $1.85 fee, but the convenience and credit card rewards points make it worthwhile for me.
Final Thoughts
CSU has clearly invested in making bill payment convenient for everyone – whether you prefer digital methods or traditional payment options. The My Account portal and Budget Billing features have been the most valuable for me personally.
I recommend taking a few minutes to explore the billing options at CSU.org and find the payment method that works best for your lifestyle. It could save you both time and money in the long run!
What’s your favorite way to pay your utilities bills? Have you tried any of CSU’s online payment options? I’d love to hear about your experiences in the comments!
