Tips for Managing Your Hickory Water Bill
Here are some tips I’ve picked up over the years:
-
Set calendar reminders for bill due dates if you don’t use autopay
-
Check for leaks if your bill suddenly increases – a running toilet can waste thousands of gallons
-
Consider equal payment plans if available – these average your bills throughout the year
-
Keep your contact info updated in your online account to receive important notifications
-
Save your confirmation numbers when making payments online
What To Do If You’re Having Trouble Paying Your Bill
We all go through tough times occasionally. If you’re struggling to pay your water bill, Hickory offers some options:
- Payment arrangements may be available by contacting the utility office
- Financial assistance programs through local community organizations
- Leak adjustments if your high bill was caused by a leak that’s been repaired
Don’t wait until your service is in danger of disconnection – reach out early if you’re having difficulty making payments.
