In an effort to better serve our customers, the PSA is rolling out a new Leak Reporting and Outage Map application on this website. To access this new feature, click on the large button on the right side of the website that reads: Report a Leak / Outage Map. This new application is designed to better notify customers of leaks, or potential outages, while also providing customers an easier way to report a leak or situation that could impact PSA services. Customers can view a map of any current outages, planned repairs, or any incident that could alter services to customers in a particular area. Customers can also report a leak, or incident, 24-7 and a notification will immediately go PSA Staff where they can assess the report, investigate and provide an update, all in real-time on the map. This is just one more use of technology the PSA is utilizing to keep customers informed as well as making operations more effective and more efficient.

Troubleshooting Common Issues
“My Bill Seems Too High!”
If your bill seems unusually high, the PSA recommends checking for leaks. They even have a resource titled “What to do if your Water Bill appears too high” on their website.
“I Forgot My Account Number!”
No worries! Your account number is on your bill, or you can call the office at 276-346-7775 to retrieve it.
“I Can’t Remember My CID Number!”
The CID number is on your bill, or you can call customer service at 276-346-7775 for assistance.
“I Made a Payment Through My Bank, But Was Still Charged a Late Fee!”
Important note from the PSA: They are NOT responsible for payments made through your financial institution. Any payment received after the due date will result in penalties, even if you sent it through your bank’s bill pay service on time.
Seasonal Considerations
As the PSA points out on their website, “Fall is in the air! It’s never too early to prepare your pipes for winter!”
This is a good reminder that maintaining your plumbing system is just as important as paying your bill on time. Frozen pipes can lead to bursts, leaks, and unexpectedly high water bills.
Community Engagement
The Lee County PSA is actively engaged in serving our community. They host regular Board of Directors meetings (next one is October 28 at 3 p.m.), and the minutes from these meetings are available under the “News & Notices” section of their website.
They’re also a proud member of the Virginia Rural Water Association, which helps ensure they’re using best practices in water management.
Customer Service Options
If you have questions or need assistance with your bill, the PSA offers several ways to get help:
- Phone: 276-346-7775 during business hours
- After Hours: Same number – 276-346-7775
- In Person: Visit during their lobby hours

Special Services
The PSA offers several special services for residents:
- Outage Map: Check for service interruptions in your area
- Report a Leak: Online form to report water leaks
- Alert System: Sign up for important notifications
- Online Forms: Access and submit various forms online
My Personal Experience
I’ve been using the online payment system for about 2 years now, and it’s been a game-changer for me. Before, I was always scramblin to mail my payment at the last minute or driving to the office during my lunch break.
Now, I’ve set up auto-pay so I never even have to think about it. My bill gets paid automatically, and I can still log in to check my usage if I’m curious about how much water we’ve been using.
The one time I did have an issue (I thought my payment didn’t go through), their customer service was super helpful. They checked the system and confirmed that everything was fine – it was just a delay in the payment showing up in my account history.
Final Thoughts
Paying your Lee County PSA bill doesn’t have to be a hassle. With multiple convenient options available, you can choose the method that works best for your lifestyle. I strongly recommend setting up an online account – it’s made managing my utilities so much simpler.
Remember these key points:
- Pay by the due date to avoid penalties
- Don’t forget to include your account suffix when setting up online payments
- Keep your CID number handy for account management
- Consider auto-pay to never miss a payment
- Call 276-346-7775 if you need assistance
By taking advantage of these convenient payment options, you can spend less time worrying about utilities and more time enjoying everything else life has to offer!
Have you tried the online bill pay system yet? What’s been your experience? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
