- Create your account (you’ll need your REMC account number)
- Log in and explore all the features

One-Time Payment Option
Don’t want to create an account? No problem! Orange County REMC offers a simple “Pay Now” option for one-time payments. You’ll just need:
- Your last name or business name
- Your account number
This is super handy when I’m in a rush and just need to pay my bill quickly without logging into my full account.
Pay by Phone: The 24/7 Option
Sometimes I forget about my bill until after office hours. That’s when the pay-by-phone option really saves me! Orange County REMC has an automated, secure phone system available 24/7.
Just call 855-938-3393 and have your:
- Account number or phone number ready
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover) or checking account info
This service is:
- Completely secure
- Available any time, day or night
- Accessible from any phone
- Free! (No additional service fees)
Remember you need to pay at least $4.50 when using this service.
Traditional Payment Methods
Pay by Mail
For those who prefer traditional methods you can always mail your payment. Simply
- Include the payment stub from your bill
- Send it in the envelope provided with your bill

Just remember to allow enough time for your payment to arrive before the due date. I usually send mine at least 5 days before the deadline.
Pay in Person
If you’re like me and sometimes prefer face-to-face interactions, you can visit the REMC office:

They have both a lobby and a drive-through option. After hours, there’s even a night depository at the drive-through where you can drop off your payment.
Automatic Payment Options
Automatic Bank Draft
This is what I use now, and it’s been a game-changer! With automatic bank drafts, your bill is automatically deducted from your bank account on the due date. No more late fees!
To set this up:
- Fill out the bank draft form
- Attach a voided check
- Submit to Orange County REMC
You can also register for automatic payments through SmartHub or the automated phone system.
Specialized Billing Programs
Pre-Pay Program
For members who prefer to pay as they go, the Pre-Pay Program is an interesting option. Instead of receiving a monthly statement, you pre-pay for electricity and monitor your own balance.
This reminds me of how I handle my prepaid phone—I add money before I use the service. It’s not for everyone, but some folks find it helpful for budgeting.
Variable Budget Billing
I’ve got friends who swear by this option! Variable Budget Billing helps smooth out those seasonal spikes in your electric bill.
Instead of paying $200+ in winter and summer when temperatures are extreme, your bill is averaged based on the previous 12 months of usage. This makes monthly budgeting so much easier!
Important note: You need to pay on time. If you’re late more than twice in a 12-month period, Orange County REMC may remove you from this plan.
Due Date Extension
This option is particularly helpful for members who receive social security or disability checks after their bill is due. The extension defers your payment until after your check arrives (specifically until the sixth day of the month) without any late charges.
Seasonal Bill Forward
If you’re a snowbird or travel seasonally, REMC will forward your monthly bill to whatever address you provide. No more missed payments or late fees while you’re away!
I have neighbors who head to Florida every winter, and they love this service. Just contact the office with your forwarding address.
Important Billing Information
Electric meters are read during the first week of each month, so your bill covers the previous month’s usage. All bills are due on the 30th of each month.

My Personal Experience with Orange County REMC Bill Pay
