Notice of Rate Increase
Public Water Supply District No. 2 of Jackson County distributes potable water to 6,600 customers in southern Raytown, Missouri. PWSD#2 is experiencing increased costs for this distribution and needs capital for improvements in the coming years. Regrettably as a result of the increased costs the Board of Directors approved a rate increase in all water of 5%, effective May 1, 2025.
New Rates
Base monthly rate (2,000 gallons of water): $22.83
Base bi-monthly rate (4,000 gallons of water): $45.63
Each additional 1,000 gallons: $9.53
System improvements will continue as the District realizes benefits from past improvements. Water main repairs are down dramatically. Efficiencies in utilities, meter reading, billing and pipeline replacement will continue to provide savings.
The District will continue improving the water system for our customers, providing great tasting, safe water, now and for generations to come.
As a reminder, in these days of cyber criminals and scamming activity, Public Water Supply District No. 2 of Jackson County will never call you asking for credit card information, you should only give the information out if you initiate the call.
