The 6 Ways to Pay Your Rockett Water Bill
Rockett Special Utility District offers several convenient payment methods to fit your lifestyle:
- Online Payments
- Automated Phone System
- Auto Draft Service
- In-Person Payments
- Mail-In Payments
- E-Bill Service
Let’s dive into each option so you can choose what works best for you!
1. Online Payments: The Most Convenient Option
Who has time to mail checks these days? The easiest way to pay your Rockett water bill is through their online payment system.
How to Pay Online:
- Visit the Rockett SUD website at rockettwater.com
- Click on the “Payment Online/Account Detail” tab
- Create an account if you’re a first-time user
- Log in and make your payment using a credit or debit card
They accept MasterCard, Visa Discover, and American Express so you’ve got plenty of options!
You can also access their payment portal directly through Municipal Online Payments where you can sign in or register if you’re new.
Note: If your service has been disconnected due to non-payment, you can still make a payment online, but you’ll need to contact Rockett SUD directly to get reconnected.
2. Automated Phone Payment System
Not into online payments? No problem! Rockett SUD offers a super convenient automated phone payment system.
Simply call 1-866-302-2748 to make quick, secure payments using your credit card or debit card. This automated system is available 24/7, so you can pay your bill anytime that works for you – even at 3 AM in your pajamas!
3. Auto Draft: Set It and Forget It!
This is my personal favorite way to pay the Rockett water bill. With auto draft, your payment is automatically deducted on your due date – no more forgetting!
Rockett offers two types of auto draft:
- Bank Draft: Funds are withdrawn directly from your checking account
- Credit/Debit Card Draft: Payment is charged to your card of choice
Draft Dates:
- Bills dated the 1st: Drafted on the 16th of each month
- Bills dated the 5th: Drafted on the 21st of each month
- Bills dated the 10th: Drafted on the 26th of each month
Important: If your draft date falls on a weekend or holiday, your account will be drafted on the next business day.
How to Enroll in Auto Draft:
For Bank Draft:
- Download the Auto Draft form from their website
- Complete the form and include a voided check
- Submit it in person, by mail, or fax to 972-617-0030
For Credit/Debit Card Draft:
- Enroll in Auto-Pay online through their payment portal
- Follow the instructions to set up your card information
It’s recommended to sign up for E-Bill service along with auto draft so you’ll always know how much is being withdrawn.
4. In-Person Payments at the Rockett Office
If you prefer the old-school approach of paying in person (or need to pay with cash), you can visit the Rockett Special Utility District office at:
126 Alton Adams Dr.
Waxahachie, TX 75165
Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
They offer convenient drive-through windows during regular business hours. There’s also a night deposit box for after-hours payments (but please don’t leave cash in the night box).
5. Mail-In Payments
Still prefer writing checks? You can mail your payment to:
Rockett SUD
PO Box 40
Red Oak, TX 75154-6532
Make sure to include your account number on your check or money order! The good news is that Rockett SUD has switched from postcard billing to statement billing, which includes a return envelope for your convenience.
6. E-Bill: Go Paperless!
Tired of paper bills cluttering up your counter? Sign up for E-Bill service! This eco-friendly option means you’ll receive your Rockett water bill electronically instead of through the mail.
How to Register for E-Bill:
Option 1: Log into your online account, select the “Payment Online/Account Detail” tab, and then click “Sign up for ebilling” under Online Services.
Option 2: Download the E-Bill Request Form from their website and submit it by:
- Mail: PO Box 40, Red Oak, Texas 75154
- Email: [email protected]
- Fax: 972-617-0030
Important disclaimer: By registering for E-Bill, you acknowledge that you’ll no longer receive a printed bill in the mail, and you’re responsible for paying your bill whether or not you received an E-Bill notification.
Avoiding Late Fees and Service Disruption
Let’s be real – nobody wants to pay late fees! If your payment isn’t received by the due date shown on your past due notice, Rockett SUD will assess a $50 delinquent fee, and your service could be shut off immediately.
To restore service, you’ll need to pay:
- The past due amount
- The $50 delinquent fee
And remember, service will only be restored during normal business hours.
