To pay your water bill online, you’ll need to visit the Little Elm Payments portal. The website gives you three main options:

What You’ll Need for Online Payment

If you’re forgetful like me, setting up automatic payments is a lifesaver! The Town of Little Elm offers an automatic draft option using your credit or debit card.
To set this up, you’ll need to:
- Visit the payment website
- Choose the “Set Up Credit/Debit Card Automatic Draft” option
- Follow the prompts to register your card and authorize recurring payments
Once set up, your bill will be automatically paid each month – no more late fees or forgetting!

Important Information About Disconnections
This is REALLY important to know! If your account is at risk of disconnection or has already been disconnected, the online payment portal won’t be enough. You MUST call the office directly at 214-975-0480 during regular business hours to ensure your account isn’t disconnected or gets reconnected quickly.
I learned this the hard way last summer when I thought paying online would immediately restore service – it didn’t! Always call if you’re in this situation.
New to Little Elm? Setting Up Water Service
If you’re just moving to our lovely town (welcome!), you’ll need to set up water service. Here’s what to do:
- Complete the application available on the website
- Provide copies of:
- Your completed application
- Driver’s license
- Rental agreement or proof of ownership
You can submit these documents through the “Connect Service” option on the payment portal. Just remember that you’ll need to create an account to proceed with this option.

Welcome to the new Utility Billing Portal! To create your account, you will need your account number and customer number. These can be found on your January 23 bill. See an example below on where to find them. After setting up your account, you will be able to request access to set up CC draft for your new account as well as see other options available.
The Utility Billing Office manages water, wastewater, and trash service billing. Responsibilities include establishing new accounts, customer inquiries, trash and recycling bin replacement, and providing trash and recycling service information to new customers.
You new account number will be on your first revised statement.
Yes, your bank draft will convert into the new Utility Billing System.
To set up a new bank draft, please log into the portal and request this service there.
Yes, once you sign up in the portal, you will be able to fill out an application for service or request to finalize your account.
Your credit card draft will NOT convert to the new system. Once you register your new account, you will be able to set up your credit card draft again.
There are a few ways you can pay your Utility Bill.

Please note: We are no longer taking credit card payments over the phone with a customer service representative. The only way to pay over the phone is through our automated system.
Currently, we do not have that option. We are working on this functionality and there will be more information released at a later date.
Yes, you will be able to disconnect services in the new portal.
The final bill will have the deposit applied to it. Accounts with a credit balance will have checks mailed within two weeks after the final statement; however, accounts with credit balances are not mailed automatically. Please provide a forwarding address when disconnecting your service.
New customers will be able to register through the portal as a user. You will then be prompted to sign up for service, fill out the application, and then our staff will send you details on how to finalize your account.

- Proof of ownership (copy of HUD closing statement) or lease agreement.

- Date service should be initiated.
Note: If services at the residence are currently turned off, an appointment must be scheduled to establish service and you or a representative must be present at the property when services are turned on.

Track your water usage with the My Water Advisor Residential Water Consumption Portal.
The Town of Little Elm offers a free service to allow residential customers access to their consumption habits. My Water Advisor is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android and is online to set thresholds that will alert via text message or email.
Once alert settings are personalized, alerts can include continuous 24-hour consumption, consumption above a maximum consumer-defined limit, and consumption during a specific time frame (holiday, vacation, or any daily use).
- You will need your account number to set up your account. No dashes are needed: (0140000340002) 13 digits.
- First name and last name MUST match the name on the account.
- Only one email can be registered per account number.
- Consumption information updates daily.
- For residential accounts with multiple meters, scroll to the bottom of the home screen to select a different meter. (NOTE: Consumption is not reported as a total of all meters).
- Use the “Set Future Holiday” settings to define specific time frames, including daily alerts.
- All information is provided in gallons.
- Comparison is based on all usage within our utility’s water service.

Do you want to transfer service from a current Little Elm account to a new location in Little Elm? The fee is $15 and your current account must be in good standing. The final bill payment at the original residence remains the customers responsibility. Contact Utility Billing at 214-975-0480 to transfer your service.
Automatic courtesy telephone notifications with important account information will be relayed using the phone numbers listed on your account. You can update your telephone notifications in the new portal.
- A Utility Billing drop box is located in front of the Town Hall at 100 W. Eldorado Parkway, Little Elm, TX 75068.
- Payments dropped in this drop box after 8 a.m. are not processed until the next business day. To avoid penalties and/or service/reconnect fees from being applied to your account, your payment must be made in the office by 5 p.m. on the bills due date.
