Mayor Jaynes and her husband, David, have lived in Hosston 32 years. They have been married 33 years and have four children. Kim has served as Secretary for North Caddo Paint & Body Shop, Financial Administrator for Vivian-Hosston Athletic Association, Treasurer of the Vivian Athletic Association, and is a member of Narrow Gate Cowboy Church. She has also been active as a volunteer at Herndon Magnet, North Caddo Elementary Middle, and North Caddo High Schools.
Jessie has been married to his high school sweetheart Melissa for 39 years. They have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. He’s been in Law enforcement for over 10 years; was the Village of Rodessas chief for 6 years and also worked for the Oil City police department.
He also worked as the second shift welding Leadman for 15 years at Fry Master. He currently serving as the senior pastor of First Baptist Oil City for the last 13 years.
Jessie loves spending time with his 2 grandkids, family and riding his motorcycle whenever he gets a free minute.
Jessie is honored and humble to be the Chief of Police in Hosston and believes that there’s amazing things yet coming to Hosston!
Alderwoman Banks is a lifelong resident of Hosston. She grew up here with her parents, Bobby and the late Jerry Gayle Flarity, and her sister. Mrs. Banks and her husband, Lonnie, have two sons, Ricky and Adam, along with two grandchildren. Hosston and its wellbeing is very important to Mrs. Banks, as well as her family. She always has and always will continue to support her hometown and its residents to the best of her ability.
Alderman Blunt is originally from Grand Cane and has been a resident of Hosston for eight years. He proudly served five years as a Marine, then went on to work for numerous employers, including Blunt Lumber Company, Walmart, and Conco Food Services. In 1998, Mr. Blunt received an Associate Degree from Southern Technical College. He retired in 2013, after working as an electrician at Libbey Glass for 21 years.
Alderwoman Carnley is from Marion, Louisiana, and in 2014, relocated to Hosston with her husband, Rodney Carnley, and their daughter, Amelia. Since establishing their home in Hosston, Crystal has taken on the role of purchasing manager at Rent One Corporate. Additionally, she serves as an independent distributor for Topanga Scents. Crystal greatly values the time she spends with her family during their numerous kayaking excursions, and finds fulfillment in reading, cooking, and exploring thrift stores for unique treasures. Crystal expresses that it is with great pride that she represents the community of Hosston as an elected alderman.
Mrs. Linn has been married to her husband Daniel for over 13 years and they have three children. Hayden graduated from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA in 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in General Studies. Hayden is a life long resident of Vivian, LA where she is an active volunteer in her community. She serves as the secretary for the Louisiana Redbud Association and works to preserve the history of her home town and surrounding communities as a curator for the Vivian Railroad Station Museum.
Mr. Littlejohn has been under contract with the Hosston Water System for over seven years. He has been in the water industry approximately 25 years. Mr. Littlejohn is certified in water treatment, production, and distribution, as well as wastewater treatment and collection. He has been happily married for 15 years and has four children and two grandchildren.
Mr. Payton has lived in the Hosston area all of his life. He is married to Carolyn Payton. Roger has done maintenance work such as mowing lawns and trimming trees, operating equipment, servicing equipment and many other maintenance jobs.
SERVICE LINE INVENTORY
A Service Line Inventory spreadsheet for the Village of Hosston Water System is available at the Village of Hosston Town Hall. The inventory was conducted during the 2024 calendar year to identify all customer and town service lines. The inventory was mandated by Louisiana Department of Health for every water department in Louisiana. Results will show each service lines material used and if the service line is to be replaced or not.
Customers with lines that are required to be replaced will be notified by mail.
