How to Pay Your City of Frisco Water Bill: Complete Guide for 2025

Post date |

Bills will be available by the 5th of the month and are due on the 20th of every month at 11:59 pm. There are multiple ways to pay your bill including paperless billing. Visit http://www.paymyinframarkbill.com/www.paymyinframarkbill.com for billing options.

It is the responsibility of the account holder to ensure that bills are paid on time. Late fees will be assessed at 12 am on the 21st, followed by a delinquency letter, red tag, then disconnection approximately two weeks after the bill is due. Failure to pay your bill can and will result in the water being turned off.

Questions about billing and service should be addressed to Inframark through email at mailto:[email protected]@inframark.com, through the main (Houston) phone at (281) 579-4500 or the Frisco West office between 9 am and 4 pm at (281) 867-5415.

With the recent rate increases that kicked in this January, it’s more important than ever to know your options. Let’s dive into all the ways you can pay your Frisco water bill without the hassle!

Recent Utility Rate Changes in Frisco (January 2025)

Before we get into payment methods you should know about the rate increases that started in January 2025

  • Minimum residential water bill: increased from $22.52 to $23.87
  • Minimum residential sewer bill: increased from $30.28 to $33.31
  • Minimum residential solid waste bill: increased from $21.00 to $22.00

These changes were approved by the Frisco City Council in September and December 2024. You probably noticed these increases on your January bill!

For New Residents:

For Businesses:

  • Fill out the Commercial Application for New Service form

Moving or Discontinuing Service:

  • Submit the Application to Transfer or Disconnect Service form

Understanding Your Frisco Water Bill

Your Frisco utility bill typically includes charges for:

  • Water usage
  • Sewer services
  • Solid waste collection (trash and recycling)
  • Stormwater utility fee

It’s worth looking at your bill carefully to understand what you’re being charged for. If you see something weird, definitely call them!

FAQ About Frisco Utility Billing

Is there a deposit required for new service?

Yes, there is typically a deposit required when setting up new residential or commercial service. The amount varies based on your situation.

When will my deposit be refunded?

Deposits are usually refunded after a history of good payment or when you disconnect service.

Do I need to be present when service is connected?

This is a common question! For most standard reconnections, you don’t need to be present. However, for initial connections or after a cutoff, it’s best to check with the utility department.

What if I have a water leak?

If you experience a water leak, you can request a partial leak credit. Your request must:

  • Be submitted in writing
  • Include documentation of repairs (receipts, etc.)

Handling Missed Trash or Recycling Pickup

While not directly related to your water bill, your utility bill does include trash service. If your trash or recycling is missed:

  • Call Environmental Services at 972-292-5900
  • Report it as soon as possible
  • It’s harder for drivers to return if you report it days later

Tips for Managing Your Frisco Water Bill

After years of paying these bills, I’ve picked up some useful tricks:

1. Sign up for E-Billing

  • Get your bills by email
  • Never miss a due date
  • Save paper!

2. Monitor Your Water Usage

  • Check for leaks regularly
  • Turn off water when brushing teeth
  • Run full loads of laundry and dishes
  • Water your lawn only when needed

3. Set Calendar Reminders

If you’re not using automatic payments, set a reminder a few days before the bill is due.

4. Check for Leaks

A running toilet can waste thousands of gallons! Put a few drops of food coloring in your tank – if the color shows up in the bowl without flushing, you’ve got a leak.

What to Do If You’re Having Trouble Paying

We all go through tough times. If you’re struggling to pay your utility bill:

  1. Contact Utility Billing at 972-292-5575 before the due date
  2. Ask about payment arrangements
  3. Check if you qualify for any assistance programs
  4. Don’t ignore the bill – that can lead to service disconnection

My Personal Experience with Frisco Utility Billing

I’ve lived in Frisco for over 8 years, and honestly, the utility billing department has been pretty good to work with. When I had a major leak last summer, they helped me get a partial credit on my bill after I showed them the repair receipts.

The online payment portal occasionally has hiccups (especially around the 1st of the month when everyone’s paying), but overall it works well. I personally use the automatic bank draft option because I’m forgetful and hate late fees!

Final Thoughts

Paying your Frisco water bill doesn’t have to be a headache. With so many options available – from quick online payments to in-person service at City Hall – you can choose whatever works best for your lifestyle.

Remember that the utility rates increased this January 2025, so your bill might be higher than usual. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to the friendly folks at the Utility Billing department.
