Common Mistakes to Avoid When Paying Your SACC Bill
We all make mistakes, but some can be costly. Here are a few common pitfalls to watch out for:
-
Entering incorrect account information – Double-check your account number! Mistakes here can result in misapplied payments or processing delays.
-
Waiting until the last minute – Remember that e-check payments can take up to three business days to process. Don’t wait until the due date!
-
Forgetting your payment confirmation – Always save your confirmation number or screenshot. It’s your proof of payment if questions arise.
-
Mistyping bank account details – If you’re using e-check, be extra careful when entering your bank information. Inaccurate information may result in a returned payment fee of $53. Yikes!

Our Experience with SACC Bill Pay
When I first enrolled my kids in the SACC program, I was a bit overwhelmed by all the paperwork and payment info. The first month, I actually forgot to pay the bill until the day before it was due! I rushed to the website, frantically trying to figure out how to make an online payment.
The process turned out to be much simpler than I expected. I just needed my account number and last name from the bill. The system accepted my credit card with no problems, though I did notice the $4.95 processing fee. Since then, I’ve switched to e-check payments to avoid the extra cost.
One month, I accidentally entered the wrong routing number for my bank account, and sure enough, I got hit with that $53 returned payment fee. Lesson learned – double-check everything!
Now I have a reminder set in my phone for the 25th of each month, giving me plenty of time to make the payment before the due date. It’s become just another regular bill in our household routine.
