There are two ways to pay online:

Important Note About Convenience Fees
When paying online, be aware that there’s a $2.50 convenience fee added to each transaction (effective since May 1, 2022). This fee covers payment handling and processing – the City of Patterson doesn’t receive any portion of this fee.

- If payment isn’t received by the last day of the billing month, a 15-Day Notice appears on your next bill
- This notice generates a $17.00 Late Fee
- You then have until the 15th of that month to pay your past-due balance plus the late fee
- If you miss this deadline, a second $17.00 Late Fee is added and you’ll receive a 48-Hour Notice
- If payment isn’t made before the 48-Hour Notice deadline, your utilities are shut off
- Once shut off, there’s an additional $34.00 administrative charge to restore service
Trust me, those fees add up quickly! The best way to avoid late fees is to set up automatic payments or at least calendar reminders for yourself.

If you’re a senior citizen (60+) and enrolled in the TID Cares Program (low-income assistance), you may qualify for discounts on your water and garbage services.

- Date of birth
- Ownership papers (if owner) OR lease agreement and $113.00 deposit or $3.00 credit check fee (if renting)
There’s a 3:00 PM deadline for same-day service, so plan accordingly!
How to Stop Service
Moving away from Patterson? To discontinue your utility service:

- Verify your account with your name and Social Security number
- Provide your stop date
- Give them a forwarding address for your final bill

If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five-seven business days before the due date specified on your bill.
The worry-free way to pay your water bill. With this service, the amount of your monthly bill is automatically deducted from your bank account and credited to your utility account. There is no set-up fee or charge associated with this method of payment. To set up Automated Bank Draft, simply download and fill out the ACH Recurring Debit Form (if available) located in the Forms & Reports Section and drop it off or mail it to our office, along with a voided check.
You may pay your bill in person at our office address. We accept cash, check, or money orders. To avoid longer wait times, please note that Mondays, Fridays and the first day after a holiday are normally very busy.
